EVENT REPORT: USUA in America’s 2025 Independence Day Parade

US Ukrainian Activists proudly represented the Ukrainian-American community in this year’s Independence Day Parade in Washington, D.C.—celebrating the shared values of Independence, Liberty, and Democracy that unite the United States and Ukraine.

Carrying the iconic American Eagle balloon through the heart of the nation’s capital, we stood together in solidarity for freedom and resilience.

As Nadiya Shaporynska, president of US Ukrainian Activists, remarked:

“The American Eagle, soaring high, stands as a symbol of freedom, resilience, and the enduring spirit of independence. Just as the eagle embodies America’s fight for liberty, today it also reflects Ukraine’s courageous stand for sovereignty and democracy. Together, we march—honoring the values we share and the freedom we cherish.”

We are deeply grateful to all the Americans who warmly welcomed our Ukrainian-American unit!

We also sincerely appreciate all our volunteers for standing united in freedom—celebrating America’s Independence while supporting Ukraine’s ongoing fight for its own.
