Every year, US Ukrainian Activists (USUA) purchases sunflowers for our annual sunflower planting events in support of Ukraine. Last year alone, we brought approximately 100 sunflowers that were planted during our previous event in Washington, D.C.
All are welcome to join this meaningful community event! ![]()
The sunflower is the national flower of Ukraine and a powerful symbol of Ukraine’s ongoing struggle for freedom. ![]()

Free admission tickets available — donations are welcome!
Bring along (if you can):
- Mature sunflower seedlings

- Garden/potting soil
- Shovels, pickaxes, and other gardening tools
- Gloves
- Watering cans
We recommend bringing:
- Drinking water
- Sun protection (sunscreen, hats, etc.)
