EVENT: D.C. Celebrates Ukraine’s Independence Day – MARCH on August 24th, 2025!

On Sunday, August 24, for the fourth year in a row, US Ukrainian Activists (USUA) is bringing together supporters of Ukraine, the Ukrainian diaspora, and local Ukrainian-American groups and organizations to celebrate Ukraine’s Independence Day in Washington D.C. This three-part event tradition was launched in 2022 by Nadiya Shaporynska, President of US Ukrainian Activists (USUA).
After a White House RALLY in support of Ukraine, please join our MARCH from 6:30 to 7:15 p.m., starting at the White House and proceeding to the Taras Shevchenko Memorial, where we will continue celebrating Ukraine’s Culture and Heritage and honor its struggle for Freedom and Independence.
Join our volunteers to proudly march with a large Ukrainian flag (10m x 14m–33 ft x 46 ft)!
This family-friendly event welcomes everyone, Ukrainians and non-Ukrainians alike.
Thank you for your support!
