An Evening of Ukrainian Music in Support of Ukraine
What a wonderful Evening of Ukrainian Music in Support of Ukraine we had on November 1, featuring the incredible Ukrainian-American pianist Pavlo Gintov at La Maison Française, the Embassy of France in the USA. Organized by our non-profit, US Ukrainian Activists (USUA), this event marked Gintov’s debut at this distinguished venue.
Our heartfelt thanks go to everyone who attended this charity concert in support of Hospitallers, the Ukrainian Battalion of Front-line Paramedics, who save the lives of Ukrainian defenders and civilians!
Our president Nadiya Shaporynska, “We are deeply grateful to Pavlo Gintov for his dedication to promoting Ukrainian culture, sharing stories, and revealing historical insights about prominent Ukrainian composers, some of whom were victims of the Soviet regime: Serhiy Bortkiewicz, Theodore Akimenko, Viktor Kosenko, Oleg Bezborodko, and Myroslav Skoryk.”
At the event, the audience expressed profound gratitude for the service of Ukraine’s defenders by standing and applauding Ukrainian heroes Andriy Smolenskyy, commander of the aerial reconnaissance unit in the “Mahura” brigade, and Dmytro Kolesnik. Thanks to the bravery of heroes like Andriy and Dmytro, Ukraine continues its fight for freedom and independence!
We were very honored to have French Deputy Chief of Mission Agnès von der Mühll deliver her powerful opening remarks in support of Ukraine during the ongoing war. We are also sincerely thankful to Dr. Kateryna Smagliy/ Katja Smagliy, the Counselor of Political Affairs & Public Diplomacy at the Ukrainian Embassy, for her meaningful remarks at the beginning of the concert.
Special gratitude to the Embassy of France for graciously hosting and supporting the event! French Embassy in the U.S.
We also appreciate our partner, the Embassy of Ukraine in the USA, for their continuous support of our charity events for Ukraine in the USA! Embassy of Ukraine in the USA / Посольство України в США
Warmest thanks extend to the dedicated volunteers whose efforts were essential in creating an unforgettable evening in support of Ukraine!
