Join US Ukrainian Activists (USUA) as we proudly represent the Ukrainian-American community in this year’s America’s Independence Day Parade, marking the 250th anniversary of America’s independence — a historic milestone celebrating freedom, democracy, and the enduring spirit of liberty.
Together, we honor the shared values of Independence, Liberty, and Democracy — ideals cherished and defended by both the United States and Ukraine.
We still have openings to join our unit and help carry one of the large, iconic 4th of July Parade balloons — right in Washington, D.C., the heart of the United States of America!
Let us stand together for freedom this July 4th — celebrating America’s independence while supporting Ukraine’s fight for its own.

Before participating in the parade, all volunteers will need to sign an Agreement of Release form.
We also need your contact information in order to send you the form and additional event details.
What’s Provided:
- Handler gloves with grips (to help protect your hands and manage the balloon ropes)
- Free parade T-shirts for all participants
- Free USUA caps
- Free USUA drawstring backpacks
- On-site training before the parade
