Please join us on Sunday, May 11, at 6 p.m. for the 4th Annual Sunflower Planting Event in support of Ukraine, held outside the war crimes russia’s embassy in Washington, D.C.

🌻 EVENT: 4th Annual Sunflower Planting

🌻 WHEN: Sunday, May 11

🌻 TIME: 6p.m. — 7:30p.m.

🌻 WHERE: Boris Nemtsov Plaza, Washington, D.C. (across from russia’s embassy)

🌻 Event organizers:

US Ukrainian Activists (USUA), Connor O’Brien, Benjamin Wittes, and Nadiya Shaporynska

🌻 The sunflower is the national flower of Ukraine and a powerful symbol of Ukraine’s ongoing struggle for freedom. 🇺🇦✊🇺🇦

Despite russia’s repeated attempts to colonize, erase, and destroy the Ukrainian nation, Ukrainians will never stop defending their right to life and liberty. 🇺🇦

💛💙 All are welcome to join this meaningful community event! 🌻

🌻 Bring along (if you can):

– Mature sunflower seedlings

– Garden/potting soil

– Shovels, pickaxes, and other gardening tools

– Gloves

– Watering cans

🌻 We also recommend bringing:

– An individual supply of drinking water

– Sun protection (sunscreen, hats, etc.)
