Protecting Those Who Save Lives
Because of your generous support, US Ukrainian Activists (USUA) allocated $27,349.20 to purchase 285 ESS Crossbow 3LS1 Kits and 62 ESS URX Inserts, which were delivered in February 2026, to the Hospitallers — the volunteer battalion of front-line paramedics who risk their lives every day to save wounded Ukrainian defenders on Ukraine’s front lines.
These specialized ballistic protective glasses are an essential piece of safety equipment for paramedics operating in active combat zones.
The ESS Crossbow 3LS1 Kit is a professional-grade ballistic eye protection system designed to shield the eyes from shrapnel, debris, and other battlefield hazards. Each kit includes three interchangeable lenses — Clear, Smoke Gray, and Hi-Viz Yellow — allowing paramedics to adapt to different lighting conditions while maintaining clear, distortion-free vision. Advanced ClearZone™ FlowCoat technology prevents fogging and resists scratches, while the lightweight Tri-Tech Fit™ frame provides a comfortable universal fit.
Along with the protective glasses, we supplied 62 ESS URX Inserts. These inserts allow medics who require prescription lenses to safely use ballistic eye protection without compromising their vision.
Protective eyewear like this directly contributes to the safety, effectiveness, and survivability of frontline medics, enabling them to focus on their lifesaving mission while reducing the risk of eye injuries in combat conditions.
