EVENT: D.C. Celebrates Ukraine’s Independence Day! – August 24th, 2025

August 24, Ukraine’s Independence Day, will mark 3.5 years since the start of russia’s full-scale genocidal war against Ukraine, launched by the russian federation on February 24, 2022. During the event, we will honor the countless Ukrainian Heroes and Victims of russia’s decade-long invasion of Ukraine.
On Sunday, August 24, for the fourth year in a row, US Ukrainian Activists (USUA) is bringing together supporters of Ukraine, the Ukrainian diaspora, and local Ukrainian-American groups and organizations to celebrate Ukraine’s Independence Day in Washington D.C. This tradition was launched by US Ukrainian Activists (USUA) in August 2022.
Join us for a rally and march, followed by a concert featuring Ukrainian music, poetry, and dance, as we come together to honor Ukrainian Independence, Liberty, Heritage, and Culture!
This family-friendly event welcomes everyone, Ukrainians and non-Ukrainians alike.
