12-13-24 VOC’s Captive Nations Christmas Tree
US Ukrainian Activists (USUA) was honored to contribute to the decoration of Captive Nations Christmas Tree, a new tradition launched by the Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation to honor those who have faced persecution under communist regimes worldwide.
On December 13, USUA President Nadiya Shaporynska proudly placed a beautiful Ukrainian ornament, featuring a map of Ukraine with Crimea, on the Captive Nations Christmas Tree at the VOC Museum in Washington, D.C. The ornament was handcrafted by Ukrainian artist Olena Suprun.

It is crucial to pay tribute to the victims of communist regimes and raise awareness about their suffering. We must strive to create a world free from communism and totalitarian regimes.
